Linda Ólafsdóttir is an award-winning illustrator, painter and author working in publishing and fine art. She is the author-illustrator of the picture books I Dare! I Can! I Will!: The Day the Icelandic Women Walked Out and Inspired the World about Long Friday, where women across Iceland walked out of their jobs and marched together for women’s rights, and Play, both published by Cameron Kids/Abrams. She has also illustrated a number of books with other authors, including Sam McBratney’s Mindi and the Goose No One Else Could See (Walker Books/Candlewick Press). Linda has been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Awards twice, her work has been featured in the Bologna Book Fair’s Illustrator Exhibition, and she has won numerous awards for her illustration and design work. Linda draws, paints and writes from her backyard studio in Reykjavík, Iceland, where she lives with her husband and two kids.
