Scholastic has bought a new middle grade novel from three-time Newbery Honor-winning and New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Holm. Outside is slated for publication in October 2025.
Holm is the author of numerous novels for young readers including the Newbery Honor-winners Our Only May Amelia, Penny from Heaven, and Turtle in Paradise; Full of Beans, winner of the Scott O’Dell Award for Historical Fiction, and the New York Times bestsellers The Fourteenth Goldfish and The Lion of Mars. With her brother Matthew Holm, Jenni is the co-creator of multiple award-winning and bestselling graphic novels, including the Babymouse series, the Squish series, and the Sunny series.
