Amy Quichiz

Amy Quichiz is a writer and founder of Veggie Mijas, a nonprofit organization that fights for folks of color and food disparity. Her recognition has appeared in numerous of platforms including The New York Times, Vogue IndiaVegNews, and BUST. Her writing has been published in Bold Latina, Bustle  SELF Magazine in a piece titled “10 Vegans of Color on What Being Vegan Means to Them,” and she was featured in Lindsay Gardner’s 2021 book, Why We Cook. Currently the Organizing Coordinator at PPFA, she previously attended Syracuse University for her bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology and is now getting her Masters Degree at the American University in the Ethics, Peace, and Human Rights Program. Amy currently lives in Washington DC, with her life-long partner and her dog, Princess.
