Brenda Miller

Brenda Miller is the author of five essay collections, the most recent of which is A Braided Heart: Essays on Writing and Form, published by the University of Michigan Press in 2021. She has co-authored three editions of Tell It Slant: Creating, Refining and Publishing Creative Nonfiction with Suzanne Paola. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the Bellingham Review for 17 years and her own poetry has appeared in Tupelo Quarterly, Sweet, Bellevue Literary Review, and Psaltery and Lyre. She is the recipient of six Pushcart Prizes. She lives in Washington state, where she is a Professor of English at Western Washington University, and associate faculty at the Rainier Writing Workshop
