Gemma Burgess is an award-winning screenwriter and author. As a novelist, she is the author of The Dating Detox, A Girl Like You, and The Brooklyn Girls series of new adult novels, and has been published in over twenty foreign territories. She is the show-runner, co-executive producer, and writer for My Lady Jane, an adaptation of the novel of the same name, which aired on Amazon Prime in 2024. She has sold screenplays, television pilots and specs to New Regency, ABC, NBC, ABC Signature, Bravo, Amazon, and Universal. Her half-hour comedy spec Filthy Liar was awarded “Best Comedy” in the WGA Made in NY screenwriting competition, and subsequently optioned by Hat Trick. She lives in London with her family.
