Gemma Burgess is an award-winning screenwriter and author. As a novelist, she is the author of The Dating Detox, A Girl Like You, and The Brooklyn Girls series of new adult novels, and has been published in over twenty foreign territories. Her screenplay Undergrads was sold to new Regency Studios, and she has sold television pilots and specs to ABC, NBC, ABC Signature, Bravo, Amazon, and Universal. Her half-hour comedy spec Filthy Liar was awarded “Best Comedy” in the WGA Made in NY screenwriting competition, and subsequently optioned by Hat Trick. She is currently set to write and co-executive produce with Parkes+MacDonald an adaptation of the young adult novel My Lady Jane. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
