Johan Olander is an author and illustrator of numerous books for young readers. He wrote and illustrated A Field Guide to Monsters, A Field Guide to Aliens, and My Robots. He is also the illustrator of The Need to Feed: Recipes for Developing a Healthy Obsession for Deeply Satisfying Foods by underground music legend Lydia Lunch; Parade?, a limited edition children’s book by French artist Philippe Parreno; and An Eyeball in My Garden, a collection of humorous poetry selected and edited by Laura Wynkoop and Jennifer Cole Judd. He lives in Brooklyn with his family.
