Josh Similien is an illustrator and visual development artist. Before pursuing his lifelong passion for art, Josh served in the U.S. military, with tours in Afghanistan and Iraq as a government contractor. He is passionate about visual storytelling – growing up he loved newspaper cartoons and filled drawers with clippings of comic strips and his own drawings, and he later became mesmerized by the movement of drawings in animation. Outside of animation and cartooning Josh enjoys movies, tv, music, and dance. He is currently studying Character Animation at the California Institute of the Arts.
