Simmone Howell is the author of four novels of young adult fiction, including Notes from the Teenage Underground, Everything Beautiful, Girl Defective, and Take Three Girls, co-written with Fiona Wood and Cath Crowley. She is a PhD candidate at LaTrobe University, where her research focuses on shared culture, dream-lives, life-writing, and the teenage experience. She has also taught young adult fiction and writing at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and La Trobe University, and frequently facilitates creative writing workshops for schools and community groups. She lives in Melbourne.
