Sonia Agüera González is an author, illustrator, cell biologist and immunologist. Originally from Madrid, Spain, Sonia obtained their PhD in Immunology from the University of Cambridge, and has worked as a scientist in both England and France. After several years in academic research, they refocused their career on picture books in order to combine their lifelong passions for science and drawing. Sonia lives in the UK with their cat Peluche. While they are not drawing, they are admiring insects and looking for neighboring owls.
