Tonya Hurley is an author, screenwriter, director, and producer, and the author of the Blessed series for teens, and the young adult novel, ghostgirl, which was an instant New York Times bestseller and has spawned two internationally bestselling sequels, been published in 22 foreign languages around the world, and optioned for film by Matthew Vaughan. Her independent films have been selected for film festivals around the world and broadcast on ABC, PBS, and IFC. Prior to her writing career, she was a music publicist for artists including Prince, George Michael, Morrissey, The Cure, and Depeche Mode. She lives with her family in Brooklyn.
