Zara Marielle is the product of a Northern Californian hippy town and a rustic village high in the French Alps. A former ESL teacher, she loves to travel and has also lived in Canada, Venezuela, England, and Scotland. Zara earned a master’s in creative writing from the University of Edinburgh in 2015. Her debut novel, Cafe Euphoria, will be published by Union Square & Co in Spring 2026. When she isn’t working on contemporary fantasy novels, she spends her time inventing much sillier, spontaneous content in improv shows and workshops.
