Julia McCarthy at Atheneum has bought School Spirits, a picture book written by Charlotte Gunnufson and illustrated by Rebecca Crane. Publication is set for summer 2026.
Charlotte Gunnufson is the author of several picture books, including Prince and Pirate, Halloween Hustle, and the forthcoming Dream Submarine. Rebecca Crane wrote and illustrated the picture book Barkley, and has illustrated My Very Own Space, the Daredevil Princess series by Belinda Murrell, and the Pearly & Pig series by Sue Whiting.
